Wattles are permeable barriers used to detain surface runoff long enough to reduce flow velocity. Their main purpose is to break up slope length. They have also been used in small drainages or on side slopes for detaining small amounts of fine suspended sediment. They are also commonly used as a silt fence alternative.

Temporary Straw Wattle

These economical Straw Wattles reduce soil erosion and retain sediments on slopes to keep soil in place and around drain inlets to prevent sediment blockage. Our pallet of Straw Wattles consists of 5 wattles, each being 9" in diameter x 25' Long.
